Polygon Block Explorer
Browse every block on the Polygon blockchain. View block height, validator, transaction count, gas usage, and timestamps. Our Polygon block explorer gives you a complete view of on-chain activity block by block.
What the Polygon Block Explorer Shows
Each block on Polygon contains a batch of validated transactions. Our explorer displays every block's validator, reward, gas data, and transaction list — giving developers, researchers, and validators deep insight into how the Polygon PoS chain operates.
- Latest confirmed blocks
- Block hash & parent hash
- Validator address
- Transaction count per block
- Gas used vs gas limit
- Block reward details
How Polygon Block Validation Works
Polygon uses a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism with a set of validators who confirm transactions and produce blocks. Each block takes approximately 2 seconds to finalize, enabling fast and low-cost transaction settlement on the network.
A block is a data structure that bundles multiple validated transactions together. Each block on Polygon is produced approximately every 2 seconds and contains a cryptographic link to the previous block, forming the blockchain.
Enter the block number (also called block height) into our search bar. You can also search by block hash. The explorer will show you all transactions included in that block along with validator and gas data.
A block reorg occurs when a competing chain temporarily overtakes the canonical chain. While rare on Polygon due to its PoS design, our explorer flags recent reorgs so users and dApp developers can identify any affected transactions.
Polygon Blockchain Metrics
Polygon has processed over 3 billion total transactions since its mainnet launch. With over 2 million daily active addresses and block times under 2 seconds, Polygon remains one of the most active and widely used EVM blockchains globally.
