Polygon Gas Fee Monitor
Monitor Polygon gas fees in real time. View current gas prices in Gwei, estimate transaction costs, and identify the optimal time to submit transactions on the Polygon network for the lowest possible fees.
Why Monitor Polygon Gas Fees?
Although Polygon is known for its extremely low transaction fees compared to Ethereum, gas prices still fluctuate based on network activity. Our gas fee monitor helps traders, developers, and DeFi users minimize costs by identifying low-fee windows.

Understanding Polygon Gas Fees
Polygon uses a gas model similar to Ethereum. Every transaction requires gas, paid in POL (formerly MATIC). Gas price is measured in Gwei — the higher the Gwei, the faster your transaction will be picked up by validators.
Polygon transactions are extremely affordable, typically costing between $0.001 and $0.05 USD. This is one of Polygon's key advantages over Ethereum mainnet, making it ideal for high-frequency DeFi activity and microtransactions.
The gas limit for a standard POL transfer is 21,000 gas units. Smart contract interactions require more gas depending on the complexity of the operation. ERC-20 transfers typically use 50,000–65,000 gas units.
This happens when the gas limit set for your transaction was too low to complete execution. Always set a sufficient gas limit when interacting with complex smart contracts. Most wallets estimate this automatically.
Polygon Network Performance
Polygon's PoS chain processes up to 7,000 transactions per second with an average block time of 2 seconds. Average gas fees remain under $0.01, making Polygon one of the most cost-efficient EVM-compatible blockchain networks.
